Coin3D Free Community based Support
Coin3D Free Support is available to all customers with a PEL or GPL license. It is intended for software application developers, using Coin3D and working at the source code level on their own applications. We provide our customers with a community in which to obtain general advice and discuss the use of Coin3D APIs, functions, methods and programming techniques.
In case of defects, we will make reasonable efforts to solve bugs in released products, and provide workarounds if possible.
Coin3D Free support is provided by the means of the mailing list coin-discuss@coin3d.org in which Kongsberg SIM’s Coin3D developers, PEL and GPL license holders participate actively.
Version Support
Support services are only offered for the official releases; not for snapshots, beta releases, preview versions and other unsupported releases. Product version x.y.z will be supported and maintained until one year after the release date of the following version (e.g. version 3.0 is supported until one year after the release of 3.1) unless stated otherwise. For each major or minor release, only the latest revision/mirco-version is supported at any point in time (e.g. after the release of version 3.1.1, version 3.1.0 is immediately not supported).
