Profit is a minimalist, portable C library for handling MultiGen Open Flight 3D model files. Only primitive access is provided. The main focus areas of Profit are file import, model traversal, and file export. These are the only primitive tools you need for dealing with Open Flight 3D models. Rendering is not in that scope.

Profit compiles to about 100K, does not depend on any non-standard libraries, and has been confirmed to work on Linux, Windows, HPUX, and IRIX. Profit is accompanied with a small sample application that converts Open Flight files to VRML files.

Profit is used for Open Flight support in SIM Rational Reducer.
