This page lists Coin3D- / Open Inventor -related projects that were not developed and are not directly supported by Systems in Motion. We provide the links and descriptions below as a service to the Coin community of developers to find sourcecode, projects, papers, people or whatever else that could be helpful in assisting your own work. Even though we at Systems in Motion do not provide support for the projects listed on this page, feel free to use our coin-discuss@sim.no mailinglist to discuss any aspect of these external projects. Such postings will be considered to be on topic.
- Pivy
- Pivy is an Open Inventor binding for Python, allowing you to write Coin3D applications in Python. This brings you the full power of an interpreted language, making it possible to interactively edit Open Inventor programs from within the Python interpreter.
- CoinJava
- CoinJava is a Java wrapper for Coin3D, developed during a student project at the Faculty of Informatics and e-Learning (AITeL) in Trondheim, in co-operation with Systems in Motion. CoinJava is in beta status and is currently not under active development.
- Ivy
- Ivy is an Open Inventor binding for Scheme. We at Systems in Motion keep our own local Subversion repository of the Ivy sourcecode, which includes numerous improvements over version 1.6, which was the last official release.
- SoGlut and SoSDL RenderArea
- SoGlutRenderArea is a component that implements most of the functionality of SoXtRenderArea using Glut. SoSDLRenderArea does the same based on SDL. SoGlutRenderArea and SoSDLRenderArea also have additional extensions such as fullscreen support and window positioning support, and are released under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
