Coin3D Professional Edition is offered as a yearly subscription. The Coin Professional Edition License is valid per developer seat for one year. There are no royalties or hidden extras. Licenses may be transferred between developers after a 6-month period by contacting sales@sim.no.

With a one-year subscription, you get the following:

• The right to develop proprietary software with all Coin3D libraries on any platform.
• One year of upgrades to all new versions of all Coin3D libraries.
• One year support.

Commercial evaluation

For commercial evaluation, Coin3D is licensed under the Coin Evaluation License (Coin EL). The Coin EL is a time-limited software license, with rights similar to those granted by the Coin Professional Edtion License. The purpose of the Coin EL is to be used in the evaluation phase when deciding whether or not to choose the Coin PEL solution. Evaluation registration is required.
