The Mac OS X binaries for Coin 2.2.1 are now online.

Please note the following:

• We have released two binaries; one compiled under 10.2 (Jaguar) with gcc-3.1 and one compiled under 10.3 (Panther) with gcc-3.3. Make sure to use the version that suits your needs.

• The binaries come with simage-1.6.0 and freetype-2.1.7 precompiled and placed in the framework's Resources directory. These are automatically discovered and used by Coin.

• The main packages contain Coin installation packages that can be installed by double-clicking on them. The no_inst dmgs contain only the Coin framework (for drag&drop into your /Library/Framework directory.

• Coin 2.2.1 is binary compatible with all previous Coin 2.x releases so applications don't need to be recompiled to use Coin 2.2.1.

Applications compiled against Coin 2.2.1 will also be able to run without ecompilation using any present or future release of Coin >= 2.2.0.  For details about the above notes, please consult the FAQ.For further information about Coin for Mac OS X, check out the Coin/Mac information page.
